About Josiah’s
A coffeehouse, a cafe and a bakery on West 12th Street, run by people who live here.
Kibbi McCormick
Kibbi grew up in Mitchell, South Dakota, and graduated from Mitchell High School and Dakota Wesleyan University. She’s married to Lee McCormick and they have two sons, Mason and Jackson.
Mason graduated from South Dakota State University and is playing football in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jackson is following his mom into the business and mentors alongside her at the restaurant.
What free time she has goes on watching Mason play, or on sitting in the sun somewhere.
The people behind the counter
Our staff take care of every detail, and they’re the reason a visit here feels like more than a transaction. They know the regulars, they know the dogs, and they know what you had last time.
We’re usually looking for people. If you’re happy, kind and have some energy about you, and you’d look after our customers the way we do, come and talk to us.
The name over the door
Our namesake is the one and only Josiah Phillips. His story, and his commitment to this city, are always worth sharing.
Ask us about him when you’re in. It’s a better story told standing up with a cup of coffee than it is read off a screen.
How we run the place
Open every day
Seven days a week, 6:30am to 3:30pm. No day where you turn up and we’re shut.
Breakfast all day
If you want eggs benedict at two in the afternoon, that’s a normal order here.
Made from scratch
The English muffins, the biscuits, the granola and everything in the bakery case.
Dogs welcome
Water bowls are out and there’s space by the fireplace. The staff will do the rest.
Stop by, we’d love to see you
