What’s in the case

We’re lucky to have a full-time pastry chef, which is not something most cafes our size can say. She’s in before the doors open and the case is filled by the time the first pot of coffee is through.

What’s in it depends on the day and on what she felt like making. The English muffins and the buttermilk biscuits on the menu come out of the same kitchen, so if you’ve had the benedict you’ve already had her work.

Come early if there’s something you have your eye on. The cinnamon rolls do not hang around.

  • Cakes

    Birthdays, anniversaries, a Tuesday that needed one.

  • Specialty desserts

    For a dinner, a party or something you’re hosting.

  • Cookies by the dozen

    Offices, classrooms, teams, thank-yous.

  • Something you’ve described to us

    If you can explain it, there’s a good chance she can bake it. Ask.

  • Or send it in writing

    If it’s easier, write it down and we’ll come back to you. Tell us when you need it and roughly how many people it’s feeding.

  • Allergies

    Say so up front and we’ll tell you honestly what we can and can’t do in our kitchen.
